Start at Koneser and 8 Hours of Creative Energy
It all kicked off at 12:00 PM at our cafe in Centrum Praskie Koneser. That is where over 600 photography enthusiasts—from passionate amateurs to seasoned pros—picked up their first four photo topics and set off into the city.
As always, the rules were simple yet demanding: 8 hours, 8 mystery topics centered around the main theme "Colors of Warsaw," and an absolute ban on post-processing or retouching. It was all about an authentic perspective on the capital and creative ideas for unique shots.
Along the marathon route, our cafes were waiting to offer participants much-needed rejuvenation and fresh, aromatic coffee. We are so happy we could be your haven during this action-packed day!
Photography That Brings People Together
Since the very first edition, we’ve believed that the Warsaw Photography Marathon is about much more than just a competition. Day to day, we proudly call ourselves "coffee people," but we know how important places and initiatives that bring people together really are. Photography turned out to be the perfect reason to get out of the house, explore hidden corners of the city together, and make new connections. You showed us once again that when it comes to creating a great atmosphere, we do it best together.
What’s Next? Time for the Jury and the Grand Finale!
Cameras and smartphones have finished their work, but the marathon continues behind the scenes. The jury, made up of photography and culture experts, now faces the huge task of reviewing thousands of submissions and selecting the winners.
As a reminder, this edition will culminate in a grand finale gala at the POLIN Museum Auditorium, complete with a special concert by Skubas! That is when we will announce the winners and hand out the prizes, including the 5,000 PLN main prize funded by Green Caffè Nero. Every marathon ticket serves as an invitation to this celebration of photography.
